Some Songs Just Hit Different… And It Hurts Like Hell
Music has a strange yet beautiful power—it carries emotions, revives memories, and sometimes, makes us feel things we’ve been trying to bury. There are songs that bring happiness, songs that energize us, and then there are those rare ones that hold a piece of our hearts, making us relive the moments we miss the most.
For me, songs like Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Dil Ko Karaar Aaya, and Soch Na Sake are not just melodies; they are time machines. The moment they play, they take me back to a love I cherished—a love that once felt like forever but somehow slipped away. The lyrics, the melody, the way the music flows—it all echoes the emotions I still carry deep within.
When these songs play, I don’t just listen; I feel. I feel the warmth of the past, the laughter, the stolen glances, the silent promises. And along with that, I feel the void, the ache of longing, and the silent questions that never found answers. Music doesn’t just remind me of love—it reminds me of loss, of moments I wish I could relive, of the person I wish would return, changed for the better, as I had once dreamed.
There are days when I avoid these songs because the pain is too raw, but then, there are days when I embrace them. Because even though they remind me of heartbreak, they also remind me that I once loved deeply, that I felt something real, something rare. And isn’t that what life is about? To feel?
Maybe one day, these songs will bring a smile instead of tears. Maybe one day, they will remind me of my strength instead of my sorrow. Until then, I’ll let the music play, let the emotions flow, and let my heart heal in its own time.
Because love doesn’t just fade—it stays, in songs, in memories, in us.
